With the support of university and on the basis of experimental instrument platform of the college, the center has invested the fund of RMB 15 million to establish the third-party testing laboratory for food safety and nutrition. The testing laboratory has passed the CMAF qualification and committed to provide all sectors of the community with a number of testing services relating to the food physicochemistry, microbiology, additives, pesticide veterinary drug residue, nutrients, heavy metals and other harmful material detection, etc. Relying on the professional testing team and precise test results, the testing laboratory provides enterprise and the society with product testing services, consulting services and personnel training service. Furthermore, the lab has formed important influence in the aspect of safety control technology under the environment of producing areas and also provide technical guarantee for food safety policy and decision making to be made by government sectors.
