China: Shanghai responds to the new H7N9 case

Yesterday, the Shanghai Health and Family Planning Commission website informed that: H7N9 confirmed cases of avian influenza reported one case of human infection in Shanghai. Patients Zhou Moumou, male, 86 years old, city residence, confirmed on Jan. 3, the city is now a hospital for treatment. According to state regulations, the city starting from November 1, 2013 will be included in people infected with H7N9 avian influenza B infectious diseases management.

Meanwhile, the widespread presence of the virus has been confirmed in vivo in live poultry, so avoid close contact with live poultry or wild birds.

According to the Shanghai Commission of Commerce, Agriculture Commission jointly issued a seasonal suspension of live poultry trade matters related announcement, since 2014, every year the first lunar month (this year January 31) to the Gregorian calendar on April 30, the full suspension of live poultry trade. In this regard, Lu Hongzhou suggested, "Seasonal Off" live poultry trade should be changed to "permanently closed" and prohibited inter-provincial transport of live poultry in the country, and the relevant functional departments of the urban fringe of "guerrilla live poultry team" should be strictly regulated.
