Saki Snack Enterprises withdraws its Dry Dates, Apricots and Sultanas products

Saki Snack Enterprises is withdrawing a number of its products because they contain sulphur dioxide, which is not mentioned on the packaging. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

Allergen: sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites

These products contain sulphur dioxide making them a possible health risk for those with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought any of the above products and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites, do not eat them. Instead, return the product(s) to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company

The company is withdrawing the above products and has contacted all of its retail customers to tell them about this. The company has been informed that it will need to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the withdrawal. The company will be circulating point-of-sale notices to their retail customers, so these can be displayed in stores that sell the affected products.
