SJTU-Bor S. Luh Food Safety Research Center is organizing a project about offering a non-profit training on food safety knowledge to domestic small and medium sized enterprise operators. Buhler Equipment Engineering (Wuxi) Co. showed their great enthusiasm to the project and they would like to make contributions to ensuring the food safety in China. Recently Buhler signed the Contribution Agreement with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Education Development Foundation and became one of the formal partners to the non-profit training program.

Buhler has been present with its own affiliate in China since 1982, where it employs some 1500 persons. The headquarters of Buhler China are located in Wuxi, 120 kilometers east of Shanghai in the Province of Jiangsu. That is also where Buhler’s second-largest factory in the world is located. Buhler China offers the entire range of Buhler products and services and operates manufacturing facilities in Wuxi, Changzhou, Shenzhen, and Xian. Wuxi has now become an important development center for the Buhler Group. In September 2009, Buhler China opened a Chocolate Center in Wuxi, which organizes customer and personnel training courses and which also allows laboratory tests to be conducted.
